I am making nearly all of my gifts this year and isn’t as crazy as you may imagine. You could knit, sew, paint, or carve your loved ones something special, often at a fraction of the cost. Dear Santa

Dear Santa,
I know it was hard to find me last year because we were traveling, but this year I will be at home and can leave you milk and cookies. I myself am trying to lose a couple pounds so please enjoy them when you’re here so I don’t find them the next morning and eat them for breakfast. If I do find the cookies uneaten on Christmas morn, I will take it as a personal message from you that I am perfect as a size 8 and to not lose another pound.

Our Christmas Tree

I couldn’t see the point in parting with money for a Christmas tree when we don’t even have a tree stand or enough ornaments. Then I half-joked with myself that I should turn our tall tripod into a tree with some green fabric I have around. Well, one thought led to another and a short while later we have a tree with all the trimmings. I foresee this being a new favorite tradition for me!

I Want to Knit…

It has been one year since I learned to knit and now I am getting ambitious. This is my massive wishful ‘To Do’ list of knitting projects I’d love to undertake. Whenever possible, I specified a yarn that would be my desired ideal to use for it. I know my ideal may not always be the projects ideal, but hey if I don’t try new things I’ll never evolve as a knitter. At least that’s my positive take on it!
