Fishy Fishy Baby Bibs

Lately, I’ve been accepting the fact that having a knitting project not work out is a lot more frustrating than having a small sewing project go south. For this reason, I am easing into sewn gifts for my friends’ new babies instead of the knitted baby blankets I had previously been making. Like embroidered and appliqued baby bibs and onesies.

Not only does it take a fraction of the time, but they are practical. After all, how many baby blankets does an infant need versus how many bibs or onesies? Yep, being the super wise non-parent that I am, I am willing to bet that babies go through more bibs and outfits than blankets in an average day. So, let the adorable sewing projects commence!

Here’s a peek at two fishy fishy bibs I sewed by hand last week. The set for little Nemo (that’s the baby’s nickname, not his real name) will be featured in a blog post soon so keep a look out or if you can’t stand the suspense, click through these photos to Flickr to see what else I’ve been making but been too busy to blog about.
