In addition to the information in my Where To Buy posts, all addresses of yarn stores and such are listed here for your convenience:
ONLINE YARN STORES
Hedgehog Fibres, Online, but based in Cork City (Ireland).
Was given a hank of silk/merino in Opalite and one of pure silk in Swamp. Earthy colors, addictive textures, knowledgeable hand-dying. Have also bought numerous hanks for myself and gifts.
IRISH YARN STORES
Cork Wools, Market Arcade off Patrick’s Street, Cork City (Ireland).
Louisa Harding Fauve and Sirdar Duet for theTrench Scarf. I also got some Click and other Louisa Harding there. It’s a tempting little shop and right beside The English Market, so I’ll go in for a loaf of bread and come out with a cake of yarn too.
Kerry Wool Market, Kenmare, Co. Kerry (Ireland).
Kerry Aran Weight Wool. So nice, they encouraged me to go to Spin A Yarn, but it closed before I got there.
This Is Knit, Powerscourt Shopping Centre, Dublin (Ireland).
Rowan Lima was my birthday gift on the most recent trip and last year I got Louisa Harding Merletto. Such friendly staff and so helpful in finding the right yarn for you and your project.
Vibes & Scribes, Lavitt’s Quay, Cork City (Ireland).
Bamboo, hanks of Kilcarra Aran, acrylic, sock yarn, oatmeal-hued wool to dye, and Kilcarra. Luxurious yarns that tempt me each time I go. There’s only so much longer I can ignore the Manos de Uruguay.
Youghal Knitwear, Princes Street, Cork City (Ireland).
Tivoli Buzz for a pullover and buttons for my nephew’s sweater. The nicest little shop and any time I’ve ever gone I can spend change or bundles and I am treated just as wonderfully.
